Cub Scouts (8-10½ year olds)

Cub Scouts are aged 8 to 10½. The Cub Pack meets each week for 90 minutes and is lead by Akela, a name taken along with all of our leaders names from the Jungle Book story.

When your child starts cubs they will be allocated to a six, which will be their own team. Each Six usually has about 5 or 6 other cubs in and each six is given the name of a colour which the members of the six displays by the colour of their woggle.

Each six has a sixer and seconder, this honour has to be earned by being responsible and by showing a keen attitude in the scouting movement. The sixer is responsible for the rest of his team and is expected to be a good role model.
